Janice Mauren is a USDF silver medalist and has been working with horses for more than 25 years. She began riding hunters in southern California, where she rode and competed for 10 years before taking a break to travel, complete a master's degree and get married.

She then relocated to Texas where she began riding again, but this time with a focus on dressage. She has competed and trained her own horse from training level up to Prix St. Georges, started young horses and worked with horses with various training issues to give them strong fundamentals in dressage and improve their rideability and athletic abilities.

She has worked with many top trainers, including Jan Ebeling, Hilda Gurney, Heather Blitz, Jane Savoie, David Blake, Joan Bolton and Alfredo Hernandez. She believes that education is a lifelong endeavor and continues to work regularly with top instructors.

By understanding and working with the unique aspects of each horse and rider, both physically and mentally, her goal is to bring out their best and successfully move them up the levels.
