Janice Mauren is a USDF bronze and silver medalist and has been working with horses for more than 30 years. She began riding hunters in southern California, where she competed for before taking a break to travel and complete her master’s degree.

She then relocated to Texas where she began riding with a focus on dressage. She has competed and trained her own horses from training level up to FEI, started young horses and worked with horses with various training issues to give them strong fundamentals in dressage and improve their rideability and athletic abilities.

She has worked with many top trainers, including Conrad Schumacher, Jan Ebeling, Hilda Gurney, Heather Blitz, Jane Savoie, and many others. She believes that education is a lifelong endeavor and continues to work regularly with top instructors.

By understanding and working with the unique aspects of each horse and rider, both physically and mentally, her goal is to bring out their best and successfully move them up the levels.
